Animals have always been David Blomstrom’s first love. His fondest memories include days spent on his grandparents’ ranch in West Dakota, which was teeming with life. After he got out of the Navy, Blomstrom visited Kenya, home of some of the world’s greatest wildlife spectacles.
Blomstrom later worked as a wildlife biologist in Alaska, along with brief studies in Washington, Florida and Mexico. He then worked as a volunteer at Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo before he was awarded a scholarship to the renowned Jersey Zoo in England’s Channel Islands.
Beyond natural history, Blomstrom has become an authority on animal symbols, as revealed by his website GeoSymbols.
